h2 Empower has partnered with One World United and Virtuous to provide One World Afterschool Clubs to 25 primary and secondary schools in Hosanna, Ethiopia. These clubs focus on empowering students of all ages to learn about their global connections around the world, to develop character and civic education, and to provide a vehicle for students to take action to make a difference in the world. Some schools are connected to schools in other countries. We have connected all the 25 schools in Hosanna with each other and visits have included giving gifs, dramas and poetry and other special events. It has been eye opening for the students to visit each other's school, make new freinds and share their activities, learning from each other. Our schools include a school for the deaf, a school located in a prison, a Catholic, Protestant and a Muslim School, private and public schools. Each school does a service learning project to help the community as well. We are very proud of what the students and their advisors have accomplished. These students will be the leaders of tomorrow.
